The Star of Africa
This famous diamond ( a modest 530
carats or so ) is part of the crown
jewels and kept in the Tower of
London. It was cut by the firm of
Asscher in Amsterdam in 1908. The
rough diamond from which it was cut
weighed in at over 3000 carats.
